Great Junk!

You need to visit Junker’s Paradise and find yourself some treasure.

Vina Warren’s tiny shop could be easily missed sitting between Daddy Macky’s and the old Casbeer’s

Fun at Junker's Paradise!

on Blanco in San Antonio’s midtown. I think there are just three rooms–but I’m not sure. I am sure that every room I saw was chock full of junk. But it’s lovely junk.  Hidden away in a corner are old hubcaps to a 1950’s chevy. In another nook are vintage dresses, jackets and blouses (or is the multiple of blouse, blice?)

There are old phones, radios and ancient fridges and wringer washing machines. The only way to describe the interior of Vina’s Junker’s Paradise is chaos and a haphazard serendipity of lucky finds for the buyer who likes to dig for treasure.

Vina says that some of her customers don’t want her to be found and they don’t want her to advertise. They’re jealously guarding the secret of where they find their best prizes.  I want you to know about Vina Warren and Junker’s Paradise because this business is what San Antonio Sub Rosa is all about. You won’t find her in the yellow pages. You won’t even notice her incomplete sign in the front. But if you’re an antique treasure hunter you’ll go back again and again to Junker’s Paradise in San Antonio’s Midtown on Blanco.
